SystemSpecs enters pact with Ghanaian software company

Systemspecs Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading software firms says it has entered into partnership with TheSOFTtribe, a software firm in Ghana in a move it described as intended to promote Systemspecs HumanManager application in the Ghanaian firm.

“TheSOFTtribe of Ghana and SystemSpecs of Nigeria, consummated an agreement to consolidate efforts and strategic focus in the provision of HumanManager (Payroll & HRM software solution) to the Ghanaian market,” said Systemspecs Spokesman, Moses Braimah.

According to Braimah, with this agreement, TheSOFTtribe, popularly known as SOFT in Ghana, becomes an authorized Ghanaian partner of SystemSpecs for marketing, deployment and professional support of HumanManager.

HumanManager is generally considered as Africa’s leading Payroll and Human Resource Management software solution. It currently enjoys wide market acceptability with about 200 organizations across Africa using it.

On its part, SOFT has had more than a decade of experience in the development, implementation and support of Payroll/ HRM solutions across the African continent. In this respect, SOFT has worked with over 160 organizations.

Braihmah who spoke with our correspondent on Saturday, said the actual pact was signed in March ending months of discussions between both parties.

The journey to this landmark agreement began several years ago when SystemSpecs launched HumanManager into the larger West African market. The intention was to seek reputable partner organizations that would project HumanManager into the West African sub-regional market. SOFT had also been desirous of a world-class Payroll / HRM solution provider with whom to forge a strategic alliance in meeting the increasing demand and high expectations of the Ghanaian market - This they found in SystemSpecs.

Following an exhaustive evaluation of some other respectable software, HumanManager was adjudged the most suitable option for the Ghanaian environment. This is not surprising considering the striking similarities between the economic operation in Nigeria and Ghana. The similarities between TheSOFTtribe and SystemSpecs also include:

SOFT has in the last 15 years been in the business of developing and providing software solutions to government, private sector organizations and NGOs in Ghana and beyond. Established by its chairman, Hermann Chinery-Hesse; CEO, Joe Jackson and other distinguished personalities, SOFT prides itself as a company that provides “tropically tolerant” software solutions to the African market.

In April 2005, SOFT entered into an agreement with Microsoft Corporation to license Microsoft’s Navision software to clients in Africa and the rest of the world. SOFT has successfully commenced the deployment of this suite of applications for its micro-finance industry clients in different parts of Africa including Nigeria.

The agreement between SOFT and SystemSpecs is an embodiment and fulfillment of the principle of New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) which advocates economic empowerment, integration and promotion among Africans. The partnership equally portends promising times for the Payroll/HRM solutions industry in the West African sub region.
