CANI: Brian Computers rolls products

BRIAN Integrated Systems Limited, one of Nigeria's certified indigenous system builders has unveiled a new laptop called "Brian Platinum" in what it said is part of steps towards the provision of products under the Computer For All Nigerians Initiative.

The new introduction, according to the firm, runs on the latest Intel Pentium D Dual Core processor technology and contains an inbuilt 1.3 pixel Camera, Bluetooth and Infra Red functions
Speaking during at the unveiling of the product on Saturday in Lagos, Managing Director of the firm, Mr. Tunji Balogun said the Brian Platinum laptop, apart from running on the Dual Core processor, has a minimum 60 gigabyte Hard Disk space, minimum of 512 RAM, Integrated 1, DVD I CD WR among other feature.

Balogun said, "Today marks a significant milestone in the history of both our company and the computer industry in Nigeria. We are pleased to present our new Brian Platinum laptop (with integrated camera) and Brian Onyx desktop both running on the Intel Core 2 Duo processors to the Nigerian market." He went on to say" This is the latest in technology and it is with great sense of responsibility that we make Nigeria proud by being the very first OEM to produce such a machine". The New Intel Core 2 Duo delivers 40per cent faster speed and power conservation over Dual core.
It will be recalled that at the 2006 edition of CTO fair, BRIAN formally launched into the Nigerian Market, Nigeria's first indigenous desktop computer to run Dual-core Intel@ Pentium@ D processors. The processor delivers outstanding multi-tasking responsiveness & media experiences for high volume 2006 platforms. It also provides extra performance when you need it; Accomplish more while running multiple applications, such as editing video while downloading music.
Also speaking at the event, Mr. Sam Adeyemi, Head of Marketing said "We want to be known to always be at the vanguard of new and innovative technologies geared at giving our customers continue" satisfaction and experience with our various computer products".
"We are poised as an organization to contribute our quota at assisting Nigeria and indeed Nigerians to bridging the digital divide through our various initiatives focused at making access to quality and affordable computer ownership possible for Nigerians" concludes Adeyemi.
Balogun while recognizing the willingness of the federal government further called on them to do more than just lip service but follow through in process of providing an enabling environment for the indigenous systems builders to thrive economically by putting all necessary infrastructures in place as this will enhance the local capacity building within the country and create the much needed employments.
