50 winners collect prizes in the Glo SIM registration promo
Over 50 lucky
subscribers who registered their SIMs and won prizes in the Glo SIM
registration promo have been presented with their cheques and other prizes during
a special presentation ceremony held yesterday at Globacom’s corporate
headquarters inLagos.
During the event, 17
winners were presented with cheques for N1 million each, 12 winners collected
tickets for once-in-a-lifetime all expenses paid trips to Dubai while 21 lucky
subscribers picked up free tickets to watch Premier league champions Manchester
United play on their home turf in the UK. Over 300 other lucky subscribers also
won N20,000 worth of airtime which has been credited to their phones.
Speaking at the
ceremony, Globacom’s Executive Director, Human Resources, Mr Adewale Sangowawa,
said the presentation was in fulfilment of Glo’s promise to reward its
subscribers who complied with the SIM registration directive with fantastic
prizes.
“We are here today to
give out prizes to our lucky subscribers who have registered their SIMs and
have won prizes in the different categories. The winners come from all the
territories in which we operate across the country”, he said.
Sangowawa
congratulated all the winners and urged them to spread the word that it pays to
be on the Globacom network. He said that though the SIM registration deadline
had expired, Glo will continue to register new SIMs at the point of sale.
“Though the SIM
registration deadline expires today and old SIMs will no longer be registered,
we want to assure our subscribers that all our Gloworlds, Glozones, and Dealer
outlets across the country are still available to ensure quick, efficient
registration of new SIMs at the points of sale”, he stated.
The winners were also
thankful to Glo for making them millionaires and widening their experience of
the world through free trips abroad simply because they registered their SIMs.
Oscar Ikenna Efoagui, a 19-year old student of Oko Polytechnic, who won N1
million in the promo; expressed gratitude to Glo for the life changing
opportunity. He said he would invest the funds in his education.
Another N1 million
winner, Madam Lucy Obi, who is a widow with 8 children was also very grateful
to Glo for the fantastic reward. She said the money meant a lot to the family
and prayed for the continued success of Glo all over the world.

collected their N1 million cheques at the event include Paul Olaha, Deborah
Augustine, Olumide Ogunshakin, Seun Kugbiyi, Abdulazeez Alokolodo, John Monye,
Obialo Isaac, Aliyu Safianu, Doute Opuene, Ibrahim Aliyu, Akintobi Ibukunoluwa,
Toyin Abdulkareem and Bose Odunola.
