Glo 3G modem renamed NetPro…


                                                                              


Globacom’s popular 3G plus High Speed Internet (HSI) modem has been upgraded. Powered by GLO 1 sub marine cable, the Glo 3G service is now much faster and convenient for the day to day use of subscribers.

Now known as Glo 3G Net Pro, the new development has put the modem at the head of the pack with potentials to deliver at speed up to 7.2mbps thus doubling its former speed of 3.6 mbps.

Speaking on the new modem, Globacom’s Head of Blackberry/3G Sales, Mr. Olawunmi Jewesimi stated that the new 3G Net Pro has every capacity to out-perform competing products in the entire market.

He added “The Net Pro modem is poised to bring unparalleled download / upload speed to the market and subscribers can do so much more with the speed of light delivered by the modem”.

He explained that the speed of the new modem has increased considerably making it very easy and convenient for subscribers to browse and down load data on-line at a very fast speed.

“The Glo 1 submarine cable brings so much more in terms of bandwidth capacity which has made it possible for Glo subscribers to browse at faster speed, thus getting better quality in voice calls and data connections ” Jewesimi stated.

Jewesimi stated further that the highly flexible packages and prices on the new Net Pro are the same as the old 3G HSI modem.

On the Bundle offers, he explained that customers can now make an upfront payment for the 3G modem and get one month free subscription for the Always Max or the Always Min plans. For Always Max, the subscriber will, upon payment of N11, 000, get the Glo 3G modem along with one month free subscription of the package valued at N7, 500. 

For the Always Min pack, the subscriber is required to pay N9, 500 to get the modem and free one month subscription valued at N5, 000. This makes the effective modem prices for the two packages N3, 500 and N4, 500 respectively.

Other packages on the Glo 3G Net Pro Internet offer include the Always Min package which gives the user a month all-day access to the internet for N5, 000, the Always Day pack with a monthly fee of N500 for all day access for 24 hours and the G100 which has a monthly fee of N6, 000 with 100 hours, all day access.

There is also the Flexi pack which is in two categories: the G Work package attracts N6, 000 monthly charge with 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. access for 30 days and the G Leisure which has a monthly fee of N5, 000 for 30 days’ access for 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. every day and all day during weekends.

Globacom has been at the vanguard of high-tech in the telecoms market, having pioneered per second billing (PSB) 3G as well as BlackBerry services in Nigeria.

Net pro modem can be obtained at any Gloworld, Authorised dealers outlets or Glo Zones across the country.
